| Wayne Hotchkiss: Why I'm a Latter-day Saint |
We’d like to welcome one of the newest members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the southern California area: Wayne Hotchkiss of Oxnard, California, was baptized on Saturday, February 25, 2006.Wayne put his feelings about joining the Church into the following words: "My feelings about the coming to the knowledge of the true church are feelings of joy and happiness. I am humbled and awed by the faithfulness of Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. The plan that put people and circumstances in my path to move and guide me into His will for my life. The joy of the Saints that sends out a Spirit of love that makes you feel like you are at home. . . .even though you are strangers. Friends (like the Masks, Henrys, and Johnsons) that gave of themselves as true missionaries to bring the joy and happiness of the Lord that they know of to me. "I am thankful for the fullness that came to me by the Book of Mormon. . .that explained the things I already knew, in an eternal way. . .not just for right now. I'm thankful to Karin Knudsen for her obedience to the Lord. Through everything, the Lord has been with me all along. . .to guide. . .put people in my path. . .to rebuke. . .to love. . .and be there. . .and that's why I'm a Latter-day Saint." |
